tree of life

Clairaudience or clear-hearing originates in the throat, the 5th Chakra, which is a bright, sky blue. The sense of this chakra is hearing, both physical and spiritual, and its function is communication and creativity ~ speaking one's truth, inspirational speaking, writing, poetry music. The Sanskrit name of the 5th Chakra is Visuddha , which means purification. The upper chakras are more subtle than the lower ones, and require greater sensitivity. We become more open and perceptive to the subtleties of this center by purifying the body.

If this center is out of balance, we may have sore throats, stiff necks, colds, thyroid and hearing problems, etc. Observe what physically happens to your body when you “stuff” your feelings, things that need to be expressed, your creativity, your deepest Self.

Working with your Guides : As we bring this center (and all centers) more into balance, our Guides will be able to resonate better with us as they work to bring all aspects of our bodies/minds/spirits into just the right balance for developing our gifts. Everything is vibration and energy ~ Spirit uses vibration to communicate with us. Remember, our spiritual teachers and guides work with us as a team, and we must do our part to raise our vibrations, live as well and lovingly as possible and thereby draw the highest and the best guides and helpers from the Realms of Light. Like attracts like in this world and the other world.

Mantra use : Mantras are sacred sounds used in meditation and chanting, and help to bring our consciousness to the right vibrational tones in the mantra. They are also tools or instruments for protecting our minds from negative, self-destructive, demeaning thoughts and actions. Mantas help to calm the mind and bring it into focus, to become “one-pointed.” Do not intellectualize the meaning or symbology of the mantra. Its sounds work on a subconscious level and permeate our conscious thoughts by affecting their rhythm.  In order to fully experience the manta's magic, to feel calm, whole, holy, it is best not think about the mantras meaning. Just be in the present moment, becoming one, one-pointed with the sound and energies.

Chanting a mantra : Each chakra has its own seed sound which is said to contain the essence, power and secrets of that chakra. The seed sound of the throat chakra is Ham . (see Silent Mantra below) Chanting a mantra (mantras : man = mind and tra = protection and instrument) is a tool to take control of and guide the development of our minds and bodies to the deepest levels of our Cores, changing the energy within and all around us. Chanting the sounds of the throat chakra helps to purify, open and make available all the energy and vibrations of that chakra. Sound waves affect matter and consciousness as well, which is the basic idea of using mantras. Sound has a purifying nature, and is a vibration and force that is in everything. Sound harmonizes frequencies, energies and vibrations that are out of balance within and around us, and can affect the cellular structure of matter. As we begin to work with sounds, energies and vibrations, we begin to refresh our memories as to who we really are, empower ourselves and cease to feel that we are helpless victims of energies and circumstances in our lives and around us. We, as eternal spiritual beings of great Light, power and love, can send out vibrations of our own, uplifting Self, others, and the Earth. Each time we use a mantra its power increases, and resonates more deeply and majestically with us. The sound becomes more charged and empowered as our intention and investment of time and energy increases.

A simple chant such as Aum/Om or Ma can bring your thoughts and emotions back into balance and carry you back to your Center. Depending on your personal religion, you may also choose to chant Jesus or Mother Mary, Buddha, etc. or simply peace or love. Observe your feelings/vibrations after chanting each of these sounds. Notice which ones calm and center you most quickly; which ones help you feel closer to your Self and Spirit.

Silent Mantra (So Ham or So Hum) with the breath: Inhale : hear the inner sound the breath makes with inhalation ~ “So.” Exhale : hear the inner sound the breath makes with exhalation, “Ham” or “Hum.” Notice the sound heard within the spiritual ear. So Ham means “I am That; That I am,” or I am one with all, with That or God, Great Spirit, Divine Love. Breathe through the nose, and if possible and comfortable, draw the breath toward the back of the throat, or the glottis . Practice for about 5 minutes at a time, if comfortable, and build your practice time little by little. As with all breathing techniques, use good common sense, and do not stress or press yourself. If you feel weak, dizzy, out of breath, shaky or nauseous, discontinue immediately and return to normal breathing. Begin to learn to draw the breath from the belly/diaphragm area, versus the chest. Chest breat hing is unhealthy and causes regular stress and fatigue. If you have lung or breathing issues, consult with your physician before beginning any breathing techniques, including the one used with the Silent Mantra and the one shown below. Practice for about 5 minutes at a time, if comfortable, and build with time.

Breathing Technique : Try this breathing technique to assist your clear-hearing and relaxation: Begin with long, slow, belly breathing, inhaling and exhaling by drawing the air against the back of the throat (glottis), 4:4:4 = Inhale to the count of 4; hold to count of 4; exhale to count of 4. As with all pranayama (breath control), never push yourself. You will bring your Self into imbalance and upset the nervous system. Choose a count that is not a strain on your body if 4:4:4 (but keep the numbers all the same) is not comfortable at this point in time. If you feel dizzy, nauseous, shaky, stop the breathing technique immediately and return to normal breathing. You have millions more breaths to practice with. Be patient. Relax, slooowww down and take your time. Flow with Spirit. Practice for about 5 minutes at a time, if comfortable, and build your practice time little by little.

Here are a few chants to begin with :

Om/Aum : the Divine Masculine sound (find the right frequency which resonates/vibrates within your Inner Spiritual Ear)

Ma : the Divine Feminine sound of the Universe.

Om Mani Padme Hum : “The jewel of the lotus resides within.” Mani Padme represents the jewel in the lotus, the Divine Essence; Hum represents the limitless reality within the limits of our individual being. Hum unites the individual and the Universal Divine Essence. Chant very slowly or quickly ~ let your Guides lead you.

The vowel sound of the throat chakra is Eee : Chant the sound of Eee and visualize the 16 heavenly blue petals opening.

Music : Listening to beautiful, uplifting music also assists in our attunement with Spirit. Use such music as a meditation, staying intensely focused, flowing, feeling the music, noting the harmonies, instruments, etc.

Becoming better communicators : We must bring order and clarity to our thoughts, words, sentences and concepts as part of developing our clairaudience, as well as becoming better communicators. The better communicators we are here on Earth, the better we shall be when we return Home and communicate with our loved ones here! Learn to speak your Truth clearly, honestly, mindfully (and as kindly as possible) to assist the awakening of your Inner Spiritual Ear.

Telepathy: is the art of communicating across time and space using none of the “normal” five senses. And, it is also used to connect with the Spirit World, as well as each other. If our 5th chakra is well-developed we are able to practice this type of communication.

Developing confidence and courage : It is important to strive to develop confidence as you begin to share what your Inner Spiritual Ear is hearing ~ even if you have to take the chance that you may not be clearly in attunement, or receiving the message accurately. Take the chance! Risk, grow! Be courageous! As you begin to develop your confidence, it enables your Spirit Teachers and Guides to help you unfold further, and use you as a clearer and purer channel for Spirit.

Meditation : It is imperative that meditation be a part of your daily life so that you learn to calm your mind, quieten your thoughts and refine your chakras. Your vibrations will become higher, clearer and steadier enabling you to receive that which Spirit sends in a clear, pure, accurate manner. T here are no shortcuts - make time for your development. Practice does make perfect. Once you begin to open and make a connection, even if a small, brief flash, you are forever connected with Spirit and you have opened the way for the creative power and Light to flow into and through you.

A message to reflect upon from White Eagle's Spiritual Unfoldment 3 (adapted): “We are now on the cusp of a new age, the age of Spirit, the mind and thought power. Great knowledge awaits humankind when you are ready to use it with wisdom and love. The heavens are opening and the angels are working among you. There is a baptism of Light now pouring down upon Earth from the Highest Realms. The Light is slowly permeating the minds of humanity. But, before greater revelations can come you have much work to do upon yourselves. You must become more receptive to spiritual truth, more spiritual in your attitudes to life. The Christ Light within must be encouraged to grow and take possession of heart and mind. Intellect and intuition must work together in harmony. The foundation of all spiritual learning is love of and service to your spiritual sisters and brothers. Serve, love, give of Self.

On the spiritual path there can be no short cuts! Every lesson has to be thoroughly absorbed and put into practice. In this new age of human evolution the gate of initiation is being opened wide to all...but herein lies the danger. Humanity has to learn to discriminate and discern between the false and the true. Strive for discernment and discrimination in selecting your path of unfoldment. Neither words of teachers, nor constant book study will open the doors of the mind and spirit and help you advance. The passwords on the spiritual plane are sounded not by words only, but in the heart. The surest indication of true teaching is an innate and pure simplicity, with a great depth beneath it. Always look for simplicity first in any revelation that may come to you, then diligently put into practice the truth you have found, being and becoming the beautiful truths revealed, so that you can live them.”
